1.
Omnipresence 02:55
What is and What isn't. What is constant, what will be forever mine or yours like the walls that we built like the doors to our room what is love and hate what is curious distance the god of spoiled certainty the door is shut amen.

Two Libras 04:41
(ORIGINAL POEM WRITTEN OCTOBER 4TH, 2019) Two Libras Balancing the scales Rising and then Falling Rising into Fall Like moving constellations Moving their bodies Unified, contorted Shedding the unconscious There is nothing There isn't anything. Two Libras Like giant constellations Mirroring the image Mirroring their bodies Unified Inviting Satisfaction And rising in the Fall Against waves Against the sun Nothing is sane There isn't anything Two Libras Moving their bodies Like giant constellations Unified Mirroring the image From nothing to one Two Libras Wiser than delusion Write the words you think Rising and falling Rising in the fall Moving constellations Shining brightly through us Balancing the scales Nothing is sane

Opened Up 07:12
(ORIGINAL POEM WRITTEN DECEMBER 19TH, 2019) I am opened up, Uncertainty is certainly blissful Unconsciousness contains meaningful memories Unconsciousness is only useful Everything tears apart Just like the curtain in flames Tell me everything certain Give me a key I am opened up Nothing ever stays the same A flare of life scorches my veins It scorches the walls of this body Tell me what is useful Give me a key
4.
Forgetting 05:47
5.
I see something of myself in everyone The spirit wanes, the form appears The comfort of knowing you are useless The cosmos is just a note of sound I am seeing this is real The light is flooding to my neck And the universe is certain It will speak your last words for you And I will never cry, but will you?

about

Songs For A Martyr was written for a series of reasons. 1) I wanted to alter the image I had accrued with the course of music I have put out. 2) I felt inspired over the absolute heartbreak of 2021 to reformulante both myself and my sense of self and through that decided to outlet in a more personal art style of my own concern. It’s mostly just me with some collaborators on occasion. 3) I abandoned all hope and began again.

The songs mostly were written in two different time periods of my life, late 2019 and mid 2021, they have little connection beyond the fact that they were just little snapshots of my life that I chose to acknowledge on this album. The song Two Libras, as well as Opened Up are both old poems that were very different prior to recording.

All of the music was written fairly spur of the moment in the studio while the concept and lyrics were constant. Two Libras is the only song that had been worked on prior to this recording session except for a different version of Opened Up and some songs that share names from In Sanctity LP.
